This past weekend I helped celebrate Emily's birthday by performing a magic show for her party in Brisbane. We had a wonderful time and Emily especially enjoyed patting Tricky the bunny rabbit.

All the kids got to dress like a magician with magic hats and magic wands and they all helped make the magic happen. Each child also received a special balloon sculpture after the show.

Adam you really took away a large amount of stress and organisation when planning and coordinating Emily's party. I have finished putting together my latest promotional video. You can check it out on the home page of my website and I have also uploaded it to You Tube. I hope you enjoy it.

I am really happy with how the video looks, as I think it gives a great impression of what my magic shows are like. The thing I love most about being a magician and performing at kids birthday parties is the honest and instant reaction you get from the kids. The fun and excitement that the kids are experiencing really comes out in the video. Being a magician is truly the best job in the world because it honestly does not seem like work when you hear those reactions.

The hardest thing about putting promotional material like photos and video's on my website is getting permission to use them. So I am very thankful to the parents of the birthday party child and staff at the day care centre for allowing me to use the footage.

Some of footage is not of the best quality as it was taken by parents watching the magic shows. One day I would love to hire a studio and record one of my magic birthday party shows using professional video and audio equipment.

The reason it took so long to get the video ready for the website is that I edited it and put it together myself. For those that are interested I used Adobe Premier Elements 8 on my Windows PC. The was a bit of a learning curve with the software, but once I got into it the software was easy to use. The tricky part was resisting the temptation to use all the fancy effects that were available. I think just using short 3 second clips and a basic dissolve between clips lent the video a professional look (I hope.). The only problem now is that my wife wants me to edit all our home movies

I will be updating the blog and website shortly with some exciting information on some new effects and a new birthday magic show. I also have some news on some great offers available to those who book one of my shows. So watch this space!
